Tori Aldredge’s mom, Debra Milton, surprised her with a choreographed Mamma Mia!-inspired "Super Trouper" performance at her bachelorette party

Milton, who is in remission from cancer, planned the surprise with her best friends despite health and logistical challenges

A TikTok video of the heartfelt moment has gone viral with more than 6.8 million views and 1.1 million likes

A bride was in for a "truly legendary surprise" at her bachelorette party.

Tori Aldredge, 27, married her husband, Graham, on Nov. 9, 2025, at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas. About three months earlier in late August, Aldredge traveled to Las Vegas for her "Lucky in Love"-themed bachelorette party. The multiday celebration featured concerts, dinners and more. Not on the schedule — but a welcome addition — was a surprise performance from the bride's mother.

"Blessed because my mom and her friends flew halfway across the country to surprise me at my bachelorette party," Aldredge captioned a video of herself breaking down in tears after a blindfold was removed and she saw her mother, Debra Milton, 62, and two friends performing "Super Trouper" in vibrant costumes.

The fun choreographed dance was a scene straight from Mamma Mia! In the 2008 musical, Donna (Meryl Streep) performs the ABBA song during her daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried)'s bachelorette party alongside her band of friends, Tanya (Christine Baranski) and Rosie (Julie Walters).

“One of our favorite movies was Mama Mia! during Tori's middle school years," Milton tells PEOPLE. "During one of many viewings, Tori said, 'When I get married, I want you to come and sing at my bachelorette party just like the 'Super Trouper' scene in the movie.' And, of course, I agreed!"

Although Milton had agreed to do the dance number years ago, Aldredge was convinced it wasn't happening.

Leading up to the bachelorette party, Milton told her daughter that she couldn't go because of "previous commitments" and her "health." Milton was diagnosed with a "chemo-resistant, incurable cancer" in 2023. She is currently in remission and remains "optimistic and active" as she continues to take daily medication and do monthly infusions.

"I saw the opportunity for an epic surprise," Milton explains. "All my children will tell you I have pulled off some pretty amazing April Fools' jokes."

Six months before the bachelorette party, Milton asked her best friends, Michelle Pablo, 62, and Kim Renneker, 56, "Do you want to be the stuff legends are made of?" Despite them living in Virginia and having "very demanding jobs and family responsibilities," they both responded, "Of course, we are in!"

"I began FaceTime rehearsals and in-person practice when our paths would cross," Milton says. "We planned choreography, costumes, travel and included the three bridesmaids (Miranda, Kat and Carly) in our scheme."

As the event got closer, Milton "had to start some clever subterfuge."

"I told Tori my phone was acting up — dropping calls and not allowing people to follow my location (which she had begun to do frequently with her concerns for my health). I would actually hang up on her mid-conversation," she says. "We traveled from Virginia and Texas, respectively, on the Friday before our Saturday performance, and with the help of the bridesmaids, we successfully avoided the bridal party.  We did have one close call and had to run out of lunch at the Neiman Marcus cafe as the bridal party decided to shop in the same mall."

The trio couldn't wait to surprise Aldredge.

"The excitement of the surprise was second only to the knowledge that I was going to make my precious girl’s dream come true," Milton shares. "As parents, we are always striving to be the best for our children, and there is nothing that we won't do for them."

When it was time for the big moment at the Las Vegas Airbnb, Aldredge's friends told her that they had a "surprise evening."

“I genuinely didn’t know what to expect when the blindfold was on — a special dinner? A funny performance?" Aldredge tells PEOPLE. "I had a slight glimmer of hope that maybe my mom had fooled me after all and managed to make the trip… but I thought surely that ship had sailed."

When the blindfold came off, Aldredge was "overwhelmed with happy tears and disbelief."

"She had pulled it off, she did show up! Not to mention, her two best friends, who helped raise me, flew across the country with her," Aldredge says. "I kept asking myself, 'What did I do to deserve all of this love, and how did I get so lucky?' My mom has always injected magic into the special moments in my life, and I couldn’t help but cry when I witnessed her still doing this for me at the age of 27."

Milton adds, "The look on her face is something I had imagined hundreds of times, and she did not disappoint. The addition of time and bonding with my closest friends made this a lifetime highlight."

The surprise was especially meaningful to Aldredge because there was a time when she feared her mother would miss out on moments like those.

"After my mom’s diagnosis, there was a chapter of our life where we didn’t know if we would get to share wedding moments like this together," she says. "All of the relief flooded through me, because there we were, living the dream together: celebrating life with amazing women by our sides."

When Aldredge shared a snippet of the performance on TikTok, she never expected it to amass more than 6.8 million views and 1.1 million likes.

"Watching the comment section become a community where viewers shared their support, their celebration of girlhood, their grief, their complicated relationships, and their joy, has been an honor and another beautiful surprise in and of itself," she says. "What a neat opportunity it has been to share my cool mom with the rest of the world."
