Drew Barrymore celebrated Cameron Diaz on Instagram and encouraged her followers to honor people who support them through life's ups and downs

Barrymore and Diaz have been best friends since their teenage years after meeting in Los Angeles

The pair have shared life milestones, including marriages, divorces and career highs

Drew Barrymore is celebrating her BFF, Cameron Diaz.

In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, June 24, Barrymore, 51, posted three photographs of herself with her fellow Charlie's Angelsstar, 53, in celebration of their friendship.

"Cameron and I have been best friends since we were teenagers," her post began. "She's been there for me in good and bad times. That's my why."

In the upload's caption, the talk show host wrote, "Who has been there for you? Let's show people the love they deserve!! Hey @camerondiaz, I love you."

In January of last year, Barrymore also took a moment to praise the Mask star, sharing a social media tribute to "this friend of mine."

"All I have to do is stand in front of her and she sees everything I am, everything I stand for," she wrote of Diaz, adding, "She looks at me and she sees me."

The pair revealed the origins of their longtime friendship during a 2021 Instagram Live session.

"She's still my bestie and sistie," Barrymore said of Diaz, revealing they met as teenagers while she was working in a coffee shop and Diaz was modeling.

"We've experienced birth, life, death, marriage, divorce— highs and lows, work, boyfriends, friends, travel — there is nothing we haven't done together," Barrymore continued.

The BFFs, who starred in the early 2000s Charlie's Angels movies, also noted their frequent text exchanges and love of cooking for one another.

Back in April, mom of three Diaz appeared as a guest on Barrymore's talk show and revealed her "biggest ick" when it comes to house guests.

The actress, who was appearing on the show alongside her Outcome co-stars, Keanu Reeves, Matt Bomer and Jonah Hill, said that people who don't remove their shoes are not welcome into her N.Y.C. home.

As Hill laughed, Barrymore quipped that visitors to Diaz's home would need to "put a body condom on." Diaz agreed, saying, "You have to change your clothes to come into my house in New York."

Mom of two Barrymore has recently been reflecting on the aging process, and said she considers her facial lines an "honor."

In a video shared to Instagram on May 7, the actress smiles at the camera as words appeared on the screen: "Of course I have lines on my face... this is what my life looks like."

"It has been such an honor to earn every single line I have on my face!!!!" she wrote in the caption as the video continues.
