Fatal Plainfield shooting leaves 1 dead, investigation underway
Plainfield police are investigating after a 39-year-old city man was fatally shot Sunday night on East 3rd Street near Campbell Field.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office identified the man as Tyquan Jones.
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest or indictment in the case.
At about 10:49 p.m. May 10, Plainfield police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of East 3rd Street. When officers arrived, they found Jones with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
