Aug 11 (Reuters) - French day-ahead power prices surged 20.5% on Tuesday to €141 ($162,67)/megawatt hour, LSEG data showed, as a heatwave tightened supply and drove up cooling demand.

Further curtailments on French nuclear power are expected on Wednesday as temperatures country continue to rise, reducing power supply and increasing demand.
