Iconic Cartoon Network Show Back On The Air After 9 Year Hiatus
Get ready for more hijinks from your favorite slacker duo, as Cartoon Network's beloved series "Regular Show" is back on the air. The show's original run ended nine years ago, but a new series, "Regular Show: The Lost Tapes," premieres on Cartoon Network at 4 p.m. EST on May 11, and episodes will be released on HBO Max later this year. The new series will be set in the same timeline as the original one, showing fans stories from the park while preserving the show's original ending.
“It’s been so much fun working with everyone on more Regular Show,” creator J.G Quintel told Animation Magazine. “We’re just making stuff for ourselves and trying to crack each other up. It reminds me a lot of the original run. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

"Regular Show: The Lost Tapes" follows the adventures of Mordecai and Rigby, two slackers who work as groundskeepers in a park. While the premise sounds mundane, the two find themselves in all sorts of supernatural predicaments, often nearly resulting in the earth's destruction. The two always find a way to fix the problem with the help of their coworkers, like Skips, the immortal albino gorilla voiced by Mark Hamill.
For many fans who grew up in the 2010's, Regular Show was a big part of their childhood. Following the announcement of the show earlier this year, fans took to X to celebrate the return of their childhood favorite. For some of those fans, this revival comes at a perfect time, as they now find themselves much like Mordecai and Rigby, in their early twenties, with a job they don't like.
