Jimmy Kimmel showered his co-host, Guillermo Rodriguez, with support, which came at the expense of President Donald Trump.

Kimmel spotlighted Rodriguez being a contestant on Dancing with the Stars during Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday. The September 23 episode opened with Kimmel discussing Rodriguez's dancing skills on Dancing with the Stars and the love that viewers seem to have for his smiley co-host.

After showing a clip from the dancing competition of when Rodriguez performed the Paso Doble with partner Witney Carson, the 56-year-old television host commented on how viewers still voted to keep Rodriguez on the show despite DWTS judges giving him low scores. It comes after Kimmel slammed Trump over previous threats he made to prevent ABC from airing a Democratic candidate on his show earlier this month.

"Once again Guillermo got the lowest score of all the dancers on the show, and once again the people said 'we don't care, we're gonna vote for him.' You've now won the popular vote more times than Donald Trump," Kimmel quipped.

This is one of the many digs that Kimmel has taken at Trump this week, with the first swipes beginning on Monday, September 21. Kimmel kicked off Monday's show by addressing Trump's media ban in which the president barred major television networks from having access to the White House for news coverage.

Kimmel discussed co-host Guillermo Rodriguez's performance on Dancing with the Stars

As he reflected on the media ban, he mentioned how Trump's White House aide Natalie Harp, who's been nicknamed the "human printer," showed the president clips of the media's coverage of Trump before the latter enacted the ban on press.

"Poor Natalie Harp, can you imagine how many diapers she had to change after that incident?" Kimmel joked. Kimmel's teasing continued into Tuesday, September 22, when he seemingly took pleasure in Trump's media ban appearing to backfire.

It was reported on Tuesday that major media networks had suspended Trump coverage amid Trump's ongoing media ban. A federal judge has now ordered Trump to reverse the ban.

"There's nothing this man loves more than being on television. And right now thanks to his own dumb actions, the only camera at the White House is the Ring camera Melania had mounted on her bedroom door to keep him out of it," Jimmy mocked, with Trump's wife, Melania Trump, being hit in the crossfire.

Trump launched the media ban because he believed specific outlets, including CNN, Politico and MS NOW, were "unfair" and "dishonest," with him adding it was a "very simple ban. I don't want them in my office, I don't want them here. I would say the ban will go as far as you can. If they could straighten themselves out I'd love it."
