The NBA is leaning hard into nostalgia for NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, and Joey Fatone is right at the center of it.

After celebrating his 49th birthday on Wednesday, the NSYNC member has been announced as one of the featured performers for the NBA’s Courtside Concert programming during NBA Crossover in Los Angeles.

Fatone, performing under the banner Joey Fatone and Friends, will take the Hardwood Central stage between Feb. 12 and 15, adding a familiar ’90s pop sound to one of the league’s biggest fan events of the year.

The announcement came directly from the NBA All-Star Instagram account, where the league shared individual poster-style slides highlighting each performer. Alongside Fatone, the NBA confirmed sets from Two Friends, LiAngelo ā€œGeloā€ Ball and DJ Pauly D.

In the caption, the league wrote, ā€œMore music coming soon NBA All-Star Weekend in L.A!ā€ before confirming the artists are ā€œall set to perform at Hardwood Central at NBA Crossover,ā€ with tickets available through NBAEvents.com.

Fatone’s courtside performance arrives at a moment when nostalgia around NSYNC remains strong. Born Jan. 28, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, Fatone rose to global fame as the baritone voice of NSYNC, one of the best-selling boy bands of all time, with over 70 million records sold worldwide.

While he never pursued a traditional solo pop career, Fatone’s vocals were featured prominently on fan-favorite tracks such as ā€œI Thought She Knewā€ and ā€œTogether Again,ā€ songs that still circulate heavily on streaming platforms and social media today.

The multi-day fan festival runs at the Los Angeles Convention Center and blends basketball, music, art and pop culture into a single ticketed experience. According to the league, the event gives fans ā€œa front-row seatā€ to both live entertainment and basketball programming.

Fatone’s Hardwood Central set complements the already-announced NBA Crossover concert series, which includes three headline shows earlier in the weekend. CORTIS opens the festivities on Feb. 12, followed by Ludacris headlining the Michelob ULTRA Courtside Concert on Feb. 13, and Shaboozey closing things out on Feb. 14.

Earlier this month, Fatone wrapped a limited hometown engagement in Orlando playing ā€œLanceā€ in the hit musical & Juliet, reprising a role he previously performed on Broadway. Later in February, he is set to headline Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras concert series alongside Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean.

With more performers expected to be announced, Fatone’s Hardwood Central set already feels like one of the weekend’s most crowd-pleasing moments.
