- John Mulaney roasted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at two different Netflix comedy events at the Hollywood Bowl.

- "He's married to that woman from *Curb Your Enthusiasm* and cheats on her like a dog," joked Mulaney on May 7.

- Referring to the politician as "Bobby," Mulaney also called Kennedy as "a very bad man."

John Mulaney typically sticks to self-deprecating humor, whether he's joking about his poor driving skills or star-studded drug intervention.

But he took a chance to roast someone else for a change — Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services — not once but twice at a pair of comedy shows at the Hollywood Bowl for the Netflix Is a Joke Festival.

Mulaney told the sold-out crowd at the May 7 *Night of Too Many Stars* he had met "Bobby" a decade ago when the two were involved in Riverkeepers, an organization focused on cleaning up New York's Hudson River.

"That's how much he *shouldn't* be in the government — I know him," joked the comedian after doing a gravel-voiced impression of RFK Jr. "He's comedy adjacent, you know. He's married to that woman from *Curb Your Enthusiasm* and cheats on her like a dog."

The audience seemed unsure how to react to the revelation, with a smattering of gasps audible over the silence. "Sorry for the pearl clutch here," replied Mulaney. "Sorry to drop that Public Domain information on the Hollywood Bowl."

As ** previously reported, RFK Jr. allegedly had an affair with journalist Olivia Nuzzi while married to Cheryl Hines, which came to light in 2024. A representative for Hines declined to comment on Mulaney’s joke; The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs did not immediately respond to EW on behalf of Kennedy.

Circling back to RFK Jr.'s professional resume, Mulaney was just as candid.

"His old job was keeping the Hudson River, whose native fish is tied-off used condoms, clean. "Now I'm in charge of your bones and your tummy," he continued in the politician's rasp, as the crowd erupted in laughter. "Stupid f---."

But he didn't stop there. Mulaney, still doing his best RFK Jr. impression, shifted to the polarizing politician's late father Sen. Robert Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968 as he campaigned for the U.S. presidency in Los Angeles.

"'My father was a good man and I'm a very bad man…' Anyway, enough of that s---," concluded the comedian. "Stop making me political."

The very next evening, Mulaney headlined the Hollywood Bowl for his own Netflix Is a Joke special — and RFK Jr. was still in his comedic crosshairs.

During a bit about his son Malcolm's fourth birthday, Mulaney mentioned an inexplicably-hoarse toddler at the party, intermittently shifting back into his previous RFK Jr. impression, according to *GQ*.

"The RFK stuff lands even better in that context than it does in the Night of Too Many Stars clip," writes Frazier Tharpe, "because Mulaney is still ostensibly talking about Malcolm's birthday, and keeps stringing the audience along as if the RFK stuff is just a stray thought."

Mulaney, who is married to Olivia Munn, has brought up "Bobby" before — to Hines, no less.

In 2023, he and Andy Samberg interviewed the actress while guest-hosting *Jimmy Kimmel Live*. Mulaney kept his thoughts mostly to himself, while asking Hines about the time she and Kennedy "drank lemonade" with Fidel Castro at his home in Cuba.

"It was the best lemonade I've ever had honestly," Hines told him. "I don't know what was in it, but it was fantastic."

"The CIA found out he does two Crystal Light packets," cracked Mulaney. "That's the secret."
