Kamila Sellier is updating fans and supporters after her scary injury at the 2026 Winter Olympics
The Polish speedskater shared a selection of photos from her first moments back home after returning from Milan and undergoing surgery

Kamila Sellier is sharing an update after experiencing a dangerous crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The Polish short track speedskater, 25, shared several photos in a Thursday, Feb. 26 post on Instagram, which chronicled her first moments back at home in Elblag, Poland after the Games.
Nearly a week earlier, Sellier was competing in the women's 1500-meter quarterfinal when she sustained a severe injury just below her eye.
In her post, Sellier shared a cozy photo at home, one of her dogs smiling by her side as she she held up numerous floral bouquets. In another snap, Sellier posed alongside her husband, Diané Sellier, who cradled another of their pups.
The athlete's face was partially covered in both of the pictures.
The last two photos appeared to celebrate the joy of returning home to her dogs, as Sellier shared solo snaps of each in their element.
"home 🤍," Sellier simply captioned the post.
The crash that ended Sellier's competition at the Olympics came when she and two other skaters, Italy's Ariana Fontana and American Kristen Santos-Griswold, went down, partially due to the latter's illegal lane pass, PEOPLE previously reported.

Sellier sustained the injury to her face from a competitor's blade, and she fell to the ice as medical teams rushed on to help her.
The injury appeared severe, as Sellier's wound bled profusely. As she was carried out of the arena on a stretcher, Sellier gave a thumbs up to onlookers before she was transported to a nearby hospital.
There, she underwent testing and confirmed her eye was okay, Polish officials said, per the .
In a statement provided to BBC Sport the day after her accident, a spokesperson for Team Poland said, "Kamila had surgery last night. She's in good condition. We're waiting for further tests today, to check her eye for any signs of damage."

Later that day, Sellier shared a photo on Instagram from the hospital, assuring concerned fans she was doing alright. Sellier took a selfie in her hospital gown, smiling at the camera and forming a heart with her fingers.
"i know that one day i’ll look at this picture and remember that i’m stronger than i ever believed," she captioned the post. "thank you for all your words of support, just wanted to let you know that i’m doing quite okay 🫣."
