Young was in the middle of performing at the All Things Go music festival in New York City last September when she suffered an unspecified medical emergency and collapsed onstage. She issued a statement on her Instagram Story later that evening confirming to fans that she was “doing okay now” after the incident, which required her to be carried offstage by medical personnel.
However, three days later, Young announced in a subsequent Instagram post that she would be cancelling all of her future performances and going "away for a while." She added, “I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.”
Young reconnected with her fans again in December, thanking them for giving her the “time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place.” **
She continued, “I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams.”
