NBC Nightly News host Tom Llamas gave his fans a rare look into his personal life as he shared a sweet Mother's Day post in Hawaii.
On Sunday, May 10, the 46-year-old NBC journalist took to Instagram sharing a series of snaps of his wife and kids as well as a photo from their family getaway to Hawaii. In the first snap, Tom, his three kids, and his wife Jennifer were all beaming and toasting to the holiday as they were all seen sporting matching purple leis.
Along with the snap, Tom captioned, "Cheers to the best mom! Happy Mother’s Day @whodatjen." Tom and his family traveled all the way from Westchester, New York, for the special vacation as they typically reside in a spacious 7-bedroom home located in Purchase.

Under the update, Tom was met with an outpouring of love from his fans. One supporter commented, "What a beautiful family picture Tom!" Another added, "Happy Mother’s Day !! Gorgeous family Tom!!"
While a third commented, "Sweet family photo ! Have a wonderful day with your beautiful family ! Bless you all."

And someone else asked, "Beautiful family Tom. Looks like you had fun! Stopped in Hawaii on the way to China?"

Tom Llamas is a father to three children whom he shares with with his wife Jennifer. The pair are raising two daughters, Malena (born in 2013) and Juliette (born in 2015), and a son named Tomas (born in 2017). Tom has been married since June of 2006.
As of June 2026, Tom and Jennifer will have been married for 20 years. The couple are college sweethearts and first met while attending Loyola University New Orleans together. At the time, they were both studying broadcast journalism and graduated in the same class.
Like Tom, Jennifer previously worked in the media industry, and was formerly a producer at MSNBC, NBC News, and WSVN Channel 7. But after she and Tom welcomed their kids together, she decided to step away from her career to focus on raising their family.

As for Tom, he worked for ABC News as the weekend anchor of ABC World News Tonight from 2014 until 2021, before joining NBC News. After this, he worked as the senior national correspondent and anchor for NBC News Now, hosting Top Story with Tom Llamas, and serving as a substitute anchor for Today and NBC Nightly News.
After getting to celebrate Mother's Day with his loved ones, Tom jetted off to China where he will be sharing live coverage of President Donald Trump's trip. During the latest broadcast, Tom was seen in Bejing and told audiences that he would be delivering the news of Trump's historic summit and upcoming meeting with China’s President Xi.
