PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the cover of The Official Survivor Companion, a new book all about the reality competition series

Come on in, Survivorfans!A new book dedicated to the reality competition series, The Official Survivor Companion, will hit shelves in early 2027. PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the cover of the book, written by Cynthia Wang.Featuring a foreword from showrunner and host Jeff Probst, The Official Survivor Companioncelebrates the legacy of the beloved series. Since its CBS debut on May 31, 2000, the show has aired 50 seasons and seen over 700 competitors.

Per a synopsis shared with PEOPLE, the book includes exclusive stories and interviews with fan-favorite contestants and crew, along with an intimate look into the show's various eras.
Wang, a former editor at PEOPLE, has long been privy to the inner workings of the reality show.

That's part of the impetus for the book, Wang explains, teasing that there's something for everyone inside.
“I'm excited for fans to hear from Old School players about their experiences and if they would play again, and learn what it's like to be a New Era survivor from various players,” the author says.
“I've also collected some burning fan questions — everything from how bad some players smell to how idols are hidden — and producers have responded with candor and humor. I walk through how a challenge is developed and what goes into making props big and small. I reveal how Sia came to be such a fan, enough to reward her favorite players more than $1 million since since season 32.”“Talking to Jeff Probst in depth about his journey from host to executive producer allowed him, I hope, to reflect on his legacy and that of the series,” Wang adds.The Official Survivor Companionwill be published March 2, 2027 and is now available for preorder wherever books are sold.
