Rose Byrne is oozing pure elegance on the 98th Academy Awards red carpet.

The actress, nominated in the stacked best actress category for her role in "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," donned a Dior black fishtail-styled gown with floral embroidery. She paired the look with a bold red lip, a gold statement necklace and wore her hair in a slicked-back bun.

Other contenders for the prestigious best actress award include Jessie Buckley ("Hamnet"), Renate Reinsve ("Sentimental Value"), Emma Stone ("Bugonia"), and Kate Hudson ("Song Sung Blue").

In "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," Byrne plays a mom caring for her sick daughter, whose ceiling caves in while her husband is away.

"I've been doing this a long time, so I feel grateful to have had such an incredible opportunity with this character," Byrne told USA TODAY last year about the dark comedy.
