Sharon Stone shared on Wednesday, May 13, that her brother Michael has died at 74
She shared the news of his death on Instagram, revealing he died of an extended illness
Michael was the oldest of four siblings, and his death follows the loss of their brother Patrick in 2023
Sharon Stone's brother Michael has died of an "extended illness," the Basic Instinct star shared on Wednesday, May 13. He was 74.
The actress announced her brother's death on Instagram, saying, "Mike Stone, My oldest brother, Has passed away. Following an extended illness. We wish him peace."
Michael was also an actor and starred alongside his sister, 68, in The Quick and the Dead in 1995. He made his big-screen debut five years earlier in End of the Night. Throughout his career, he starred in both TV and film, including CSI: Miami and The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as films Eraser, Malevolence, and his final film, Destinos Opostos in 2022.

Michael was the oldest of the four Stone siblings; alongside Sharon, they had a brother, Patrick, and a sister, Kelly. Patrick died of a heart attack in 2023, just 17 months after his infant son died following “total organ failure.”
Throughout Michael and Sharon's careers, they attended several red carpet events together, including the 1994 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood, California, and the 66th Annual Academy Awards.
