Tuesday night was the third night of Season 1 of Star Search on Netflix with show-stopping performances from eight contestants across four different categories going head-to-head for a chance to make it one step closer to stardom!

Episode 1 winners competed again tonight against new challengers in four epic faceoffs in their respective categories. They were Eric Ardrien Williams (Juniors), Movement 55 (Dance), TJ Salta (Variety, Magic) and H3rizon (Music, Group).

AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys made a surprise visit. The Backstreet Boys had competed about 30 years earlier.

The 5-week live show will search for the stars of tomorrow with the winner taking home the grand prize of $500,000.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the judges for the version of the talent competition are Jelly Roll,Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chrissy Teigen.

The Star Search categories are Music, Dance, Juniors, Comedy and Variety (which includes multiple sub-categories, such as magic).

Chrissy said: “I really feel like when you guys get up and perform, it’s like me and my girlfriends. It takes me back to my bedroom belting it out in front of the mirror.”

Honky Tonk Chicks song: “Hang Tight Honey” by Lainey Wilson

Jelly said: “I love when the country people come here and you start with the country person. If you’ve never been to a honky tonk, that’s the closest you’re going to get. You did it. I love that you brought the rhinestone back.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 4, Jelly: 4, Sarah Michelle: 4

Winner: H3rizon held onto its title with a combined score of 3.65 [4 .0 Judges, 3.65 Viewers]

Round 2: Juniors (Music)

Eric Adrien Williams, 11, Atlanta, GA vs Yair Keydar, 12, Parkland, FL

Eric’s song: "Candy Girl" by New Edition

Sarah Michelle said: “The fact that you have this much talent and presence at 11, I am excited to see where you’re going to be at 15. You really showed a different side tonight. Big props to you.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 4, Jelly: 5, Sarah Michelle: 4

Yair’s song: “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz

Sarah Michelle said: “I have absolute chills. You took a song that is one of the most recognizable songs in the world and made it your own. I can’t believe it’s your first time competing on a stage like this. The control you had at 12 years old, I don’t know what to say.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 5, Jelly: 5, Sarah Michelle: 5

Winner: Yair is the new Junior Music champion with a combined score of 4.64 [5 .0 Judges, Viewers 4.3]

Round 3: Variety (Magic)

TJ Salta, 24, Norwalk, CT vs MIV, Hanoi, Vietnam

TJ Salta (Magician/Mentalist)

Jelly said: “I was so nervous before you came out. I was so scared you were going to do a pull up. You scare me in all the right ways. You made a decision to preach unity. You probably had a trick that was harder, but you recognized that this was what was needed. I am proud of you.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 4, Jelly: 4, Sarah Michelle: 4

MIV (Laser Dance)

Sarah Michelle said: “My son plays a lot of video games. It was like watching a video game come to life. It was such entertainment. I’ve never seen anything like it and I bet I never will because it was so unique.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 3, Jelly: 4, Sarah Michelle: 3

Winner: TJ Salta held onto his title with a combined score of 3.83 [Judges 4.0, Viewers 3.6]

Round 4: Dance

Movement 55 from Los Angeles, CA vs Rad Crew from Houston, TX

Movement 55

Chrissy said: “You guys were so fun to watch. You make me jealous that I can’t dance. That was somehow like an even sexier ‘Peaky Blinders.’ It seemed like a million different things I couldn’t do. You guys are independently good but better altogether.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 4, Jelly: 4, Sarah Michelle: 4

Rad Crew

Sarah Michelle said: “Break dancing is the coolest. I can barely do 25 jumping jacks. I want to say that you had a technical issue there, but you kept going. I was impressed with how you handled that.”

Judges scores: Chrissy: 3, Jelly: 4, Sarah Michelle: 3

Winner: Movement 55 held onto its title with a combined score of 3.8 [Judges 4.0, Viewers 3.8]
