The View cohosts reacted once again to Donald Trump's alleged jealousy of Barack Obama.

President Obama additionally responded to speculation that Trump is "still very fascinated" by the Obama family.

"Why can't he quit Obama?" Whoopi Goldberg asked, referencing a line from Brokeback Mountain.

The View cohosts are once again surveying real estate (allegedly) taken up by President Barack Obama inside Donald Trump's mind.

In a spicy conversation Thursday morning, moderator Whoopi Goldberg brought up a Hot Topics chat about Obama "still casting a huge shadow over the White House," despite not being in office for almost 10 years.

Goldberg then cued up a clip from the All the Smoke With Matt Barnes & Stephen Jackson talk series, on which Obama was asked about Trump being"still very fascinated with you and your family" amid the current president's constant references to the Obamas.

"You've got to ask him what it is," Obama replied. "I obviously have a room in his head. A suite." He later added, "The last thing I had time to do was worry about what somebody said or what my predecessor did. They're gone. I've got work to do."

When the camera cut back to Goldberg, she referenced director Ang Lee's 2005 drama Brokeback Mountain when she asked her cohosts, "Why can't he quit Obama?" And comedian Joy Behar wasted no time going in on Trump.

"If you look in the dictionary next to the word 'cool,' Obama's picture is there," the panelist said. "Trump is about as cool as Mitch McConnell. He ain't cool at all. And he's green with envy. It's hard to be that green when you're orange!"

The View studio audience erupted with laughter over the joke, as did Behar's colleagues — including Sunny Hostin, who has long accused Trump of being obsessed with Obama.

In fact, the White House even issued a prior statement criticizing Hostin's claim that Obama lives "rent-free" in Trump's mind.

The cohosts themselves have also celebrated living "rent-free" in Trump's mind in October 2024, after he lashed out at the program and called for his longtime foe, Rosie O'Donnell, to return to the program.

"He's losing it," Hostin said at the time. "You know what? Isn't it such a enjoyable thing to live rent-free in his head? We live rent-free in this man's head."

A White House spokesperson has provided EW with general statements about The View stars' criticism in the past: "The co-hosts of The View are extremely unlikeable, talentless hacks with a poorly rated TV show who clearly suffer from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome. I lose braincells [sic] every time I have the displeasure of hearing them speak."

It should be noted that The View isn't poorly rated, and recently celebrated its highest-rated episode since 2024 thanks to an interview with Vice President JD Vance.

The View airs weekdays on ABC. Watch Behar discuss Trump's alleged "obsession" with Obama in the video above.
