Travis Kelce, currently in his offseason, used his spare time to watch the U.S. men’s hockey team match against Canada with his partner, Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end discussed his experience spectating the game, part of the 2026 Winter Olympics, in a new episode of his and his brother’s New Heights podcast.

In the newest episode of New Heights, Travis Kelce told his brother and co-host, Jason, that he and Taylor Swift watched the U.S. Men’s hockey team match against Canada on February 22 from New York around 8:00-8:15 a.m. ET. He raved about the monumental game, calling it “f***ing epic.” Kelce added, “From the first drop of the puck, man, that game was nonstop action and had me at the edge of my seat.” He further stated, “Loved every bit of it, man.”

The NFL star also gave a shout-out to their father, Ed Kelce, whose birthday coincided with the match. He recalled briefly speaking to the latter during the match.

Notably, the brothers wore matching U.S. Men’s hockey jerseys for much of the episode, reflecting their support for the team.

The U.S. men’s hockey team scored a 2-1 victory against Canada at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. Notably, this was their first gold since the landmark “Miracle on Ice” event in 1980.

The main highlight of the match was Jack Hughes, the center and alternate captain of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils. He scored the golden goal in overtime, helping the U.S. win the match. Notably, at some point during the game, he lost a tooth. This was after he reportedly took a high stick to the mouth from Canada’s Sam Bennett.

While talking about Hughes, Kelce said, “Just f***ing exploded when I saw ol’ Jack Hughes f***ing put it right between the legs, man.” They also addressed his chipped tooth, which Jason jokingly compared to the one Jim Carrey’s character from Dumb and Dumber, Lloyd Christmas, had. Meanwhile, Travis noted, “Golly. It looked like he had lost that tooth once or twice before.”

Kelce then continued his praise of the U.S. hockey team. “They crushed it. USA was so much fun to watch throughout the entire tournament, man,” he shared. “That semifinal game that you went to, I’m sure we’ll get into the rundown, but absolutely epic.”
