Canadian Olympic pole vaulting star and adult content creator Alysha Newman has received a Victoria’s Secret modeling invite after being slapped with a 20-month ban for missing three drug tests in 2025.

Newman, 31, the 2024 Olympic pole vaulting bronze medalist, drew attention twerking in Paris after scooping her maiden medal at the Games. However, Newman quickly went from hero to zero after missing three doping tests over a 12-month period, resulting in a 20-month ban from competing.

Luckily for Newman, being an elite athlete isn’t her only gig. It was revealed that the Canadian had amassed tens of thousands of followers in her adult content venture on OnlyFans.

Her social media presence has also caught the attention of the fashion world. Newman has received a casting call for Victoria’s Secret’s fall fashion show.

“See you soon! @victoriassecret,” Newman, 31, captioned an Instagram post, including a snapshot of her modeling a pink bikini.

She shared the invitation from the brand, which said: “CONGRATULATIONS! You’re invited to attend an in-person casting for your chance to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026.”

Newman also posted Instagram Story clips of herself training and practicing backflip tumbles at an indoor gym, which she claimed was to help prepare for the casting opportunity.

“Prepping for @victoriassecret like how I would prep for the Olympics. Adding something in that scares you weekly,” she wrote.

Newman won’t be able to compete until August 2027, leaving her with well over a year of her ban to serve. Newman told the AIU that the missed tests "occurred in the context of a period of significant personal and professional change, which she described as increasingly disorganized and overwhelming."

Still, Newman will continue pursuing a career as a model and athlete even once she’s cleared to compete. “When I was a little girl, I was told I had to choose: be an athlete or be a model. I didn't understand why I couldn't be both,” she said last year.

“But for a long time, I believed them and chose athletics. I poured my heart and soul into it,” Newman continued.

She added to the Daily Mail: “Whether I liked it or not, I was sexualised in the sport naturally by what I wear, and my beauty.

“If I showed up in full leggings and a sports bra that covered my stomach, people would still sexualise me.

"I mean, it just never stops. When I decided to launch OnlyFans, it was really important for me to be a part of something I could control.”
