Vanilla Ice's highly anticipated performance at President Donald Trump's Great American State Fair for the ongoing Freedom 250 celebration was canceled due to weather, yet still some aren't convinced that's the only reason.

The Ice Ice Baby rapper, 58, was set to take the stage at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Friday, June 26, where the State Fair was held, but shortly before the event, organizers pulled the plug on his concert.

Although an event staffer blamed the cancellation and fair shutdown on "inclement weather in the area" through a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, netizens have since speculated that might not be the whole truth.

Despite claims that the concert was axed due to weather conditions, there was no measurable rain in the area at the time, according to reports by Variety. After news of Vanilla Ice's Great American State Fair performance being canceled reached X, internet users across platforms began sharing their own theories about the incident.

"Due to inclement weather at Freedom 250 the much anticipated concert from music legend Vanilla Ice was cancelled. Was it weather or low turnout? Either way America was saved from a clown show," one quipped on X.

Another exclaimed, "CANCELED DUE TO NOBODY THE F--K SHOWED UP." Someone else raged, "Bulls--t. It was the small crowd size," while there was one who claimed, "Inclement weather is code for low ticket sales and turnout."

A fifth added, "And... they canceled Vanilla Ice's show last night... due to *weather*... um hum..." Vanilla Ice broke his silence on his Freedom 250 participation during his Friday appearance on Fox News before his performance that ended up being shelved.

"Well, I can only speak for myself, and this is a huge honor for me to come here and play this event for the birthday of our country, man, that I grew up in, you know? And it's called the United States, and this event is made to be united," he informed Fox News.

He continued, "...And that's what this is about. You know, not the politics and everything. It's really about an entertainer coming to entertain all the people of America for the birthday of America. This is such a huge honor and just awesome as it can be, and my mom thinks it's cool, everybody is like 'This is epic, man!'"

Vanilla Ice went on to divulge what he wanted his fans to take away from his performance at the Freedom 250 celebration.

"I want my fans to come away from this tonight as very entertaining, once-in-a-lifetime thing. Know your history about how we got here. 250 years. And the main focus is on our military, army, navy, air force, marines, police, EMS, firefighters, and even space force," he shared.

"So I'm here to honor them and say thank you for getting us here. 250 years in this greatest country on the planet. And I'm proud to be an American, and I'm honored to be part of this event," Vanilla Ice further expressed.
