Tri-County baseball player Ray Evans was voted the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for April 27-May 3. He threw a complete game, allowing just one hit with nine strikeouts in a 3-2 win against Blue Hills. Evans also had a hit and an RBI for the Cougars.

He received 24.76 percent of the more than 400 votes and beat out Algonquin's Quinn Lacasse.

Now we turn our attention to this week's best performance and the candidates for the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for May 4-10:

Jayden Alvarez & Brady Sacca, Assabet Valley lacrosse: Each scored four goals each in a 13-5 win against Minuteman.

Finn Bell, Wayland volleyball: Blasted home 36 kills with four blocks in a 3-2 win over Milford. Put down 17 kills with two blocks in a 3-0 win over Westford Academy.

Michael Chagnon, Framingham baseball: Crushed a walk-off tirple in the botom of the 10th inning to beat Milton 7-6. Also threw 2⅔ innings of shutout relief and had six strikeouts for the Flyers.

Luke Danielson, Lincoln-Sudbury baseball: Drove in four runs on a 2-for-5 day and hit a home run in a 16-6 win over Melrose.

Luke Dratch, Natick volleyball: Distributed 34 assists with 2 kill, 2 blocks and an ace in a 3-0 win against Weymouth. Had 28 assists with 4 aces, 3 blocks and a kill in a 3-0 win over Medfield.

Kyle Fetrow, Holliston lacrosse: Put away four goals in an 11-5 win against Wayland.

Luis Franco, Marlborough volleyball: Distributed 38 assists in a 3-0 win against Shrewsbury.

Max Gaudette, Hudson lacrosse: Had four goals and an assist in a 17-4 win against Bay Path.

Cam Gobielle, Natick baseball: Had the game-winning walk off hit in the seventh in a 10-9 win over Brookline.

Oliver Gray, Medway lacrosse: Picked up 10 ground balls in a 10-6 win against Ashland.

Kanal Jandu & Justin Murphy, Algonquin tennis: No. 1 doubles pair batteld for a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 win agaisnt Zayan Sharif and Logan Le, as the Titans took down Grafton 4-1.

Carson Keenan, Assabet Valley baseball: Doubled on a two-hit day and had five RBIs in an 11-3 win over Blackstone Millville.

Quinn Kielty, Franklin lacrosse: Scored six goals in a 14-7 win over Attleboro. Had seven goals, including the overtime inner in an 11-10 vicory against North Attleborough.

Sean Kryzak, Franklin baseball: Delivered the game-winning hit as well as an RBI and a run in an 8-7 win over King Philip over eight innings.

Ben Lane, Hudson lacrosse: Put up six points on four assists and two goals in a 12-6 win over Lunenburg.

Henry Lee, Holliston baseball: Tripled and had four RBIs in an 18-1 win over Millis. Threw a complete game with eight strikeouts and zero earned runs for the Panthers in a 4-1 win over Norwood.

Elias Leite, Milford volleyball: Distributed 38 assists in a 3-0 win against Attleboro.

Jake Lemay, Ashland baseball: Drove in five runs and added two hits, including a double and two runs in a 17-4 win over Medfield.

Chace Lozano, AMSA lacrosse: Had five goals including the overtime winner in a 10-9 victory against Tantasqua.

Angelo Macchiano, Natick lacrosse: Scored four goals with two assists in a 12-4 win over Dover-Sherborn.

Halftime: Vote for the 2026 Fans Midseason Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year

Peter Matijevic, AMSA boys lacrosse: Notched  five points with three assists and two goals for the Eagles  in a 10-2 win against Shepherd Hill. Had three assists in a 10-9 win over Tantasqua.

Cole McGovern, Nipmuc baseball: Struck out six batters and allowed just six hits in a shutout, as the Warriors beat Hopedale 5-0.

Avery Miller, Hopedale baseball: Was 3-for-6 with a home run, a double, four RBIs and four runs in a 21-6 victory over Millis. Also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs in an 11-1 win over St. Paul.

Anthony Moura, Hudson baseball: Threw 10 innings and allowed just three hits without an earned run and seven strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Nashoba in 11 innings. Moura also singled and doubled.  Was 3-for-4 with a steal and an RBI against Bay Path, and had two hits and two RBIs against North Middlesex.

Chase O'Connell & Finn Lozeau, Blackstone Valley Tech lacrosse: Notched six points each in an 11-7 win over Auburn. O'Connell had four goals and two assists, and Lozeau distributed five assists and scored a goal. O'Connell had two goals, and Lozeau added a goal and an assist vs. Nipmuc.

Zach O'Donnell, Wayland volleyball: Distributed 35 assists with three kills in a 3-0 win over Westford Academy. Contributed 53 assists, 3 kills and 2 blocks in a five-set win against Milford.

Patrick O'Neil Tri-County track & field: Won the 400-meter hurdles in 1 minutes, 6 seconds, the 110 hurdles (15.76), triple jump (39-4) and high jump (5-10) in a 111-25 win against Bristol-Plymouth.

Dennis Orellana, Algonquin rugby: Scored two tries and gained 55 meters for the Titans in a 17-15 win against Blue Hills.

Travis Rych, Hopkinton baseball: Drove in four runs and had two hits, including a double, in a 13-3 win against Ashland.

Joey Secatore, Keefe Tech baseball: Struck out eight and allowed just two hits in a shutout, as the Broncos beat Monty Tech 1-0.

Nate Spinale, Hopkinton lacrosse: Posted his first careeer shutout in a 15-0 win over Norton.

J.C. Vivica, Keefe Tech baseball: Exploded for four hits and six RBIs in a 15-3 win over Assabet. Scored the winning run after Kelton Fertel was hit with a pitch in the botom of the sixth inning ina 1-0 win over Monty Tech.

Ben Zimmer, Wellesley volleyball: Put down 17 kills with five aces in a 3-1 win over Milton.
