Vote for the Ingles WNC high school boys Athlete of the Week, May 4-9

Following Week 11 of spring sports in Western North Carolina, it's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina boys Athlete of the Week.

Roberson baseball's Christian Norton won the Ingles WNC boys Athlete of the Week poll last week, while North Buncombe's Lilly Clark was the winner of the girls poll.

Vote for the boys athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Thursday at noon.

Keaton Campbell, Brevard: Campbell won two championships at the 4A West Regional. He finished the 1,600 meters in 4:29.37 and won the 3,200 meters in 9:49.38.

Easton Greene, Madison: Greene hit a walk-off grand slam to send the Patriots to the second round of the 3A playoffs with a 6-2 win over Shelby.

Bryce Miller, Mitchell: Miller won the NCHSAA 2A West Regional with a 77, five over par, and led the Mountaineers to a regional title. Mitchell qualified for the state championships as a team.

Michael Ferguson, North Buncombe: Ferguson won both the 800 meters and 1,600 meters at the 5A West Regional, finishing in times of 1:56.14 and 4:16.21.

Craig Webb, Owen: Webb swept the distance events at the 3A West Regional, winning the 800 meters in 1:58.39, the 1,600 meters in 4:44.09 and the 3,200 meters in 10:34.36.

Matthew Mehaffey, Pisgah: Mehaffey shot an even-par 72 at the NCHSAA 4A West Regional to qualify for the state championships. Mehaffey was the top individual qualifier, finished one shot back of first place and helped the Bears finish third as a team.

Duncan Carver, Reynolds: Carver struck out nine batters over seven innings in a complete game 3-0 win over Piedmont. He allowed two hits.

Isaac Lewis, Roberson: Lewis won a state championship at the 6A individual tennis championships, taking the final match 6-1. 6-0. He won his first two matches 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-3.
