Will Ferrell is hitting the driving range with a familiar comedy partner by his side.
On Wednesday, May 13, Netflix unveiled its latest teaser for The Hawk, Ferrell's new golf comedy also starring fellow Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon.
The series — also featuring Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver and David Hornsby — follows Ferrell, 58, as golfer Lonnie Hawkins. As the former top golfer of 2004, Hawkins "struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic," according to a logline.
"His body says retire, but his heart says he's not done yet," the description continues. "His ex-wife and his son Lance, golf's new golden boy, know he's through. But with one more major to win to complete golf's Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he's anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history."

The 10-episode series is executive produced by Ferrell, alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are EPs for T-Street, while Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green and Andrew Guest will also serve as EPs.

Per the streamer, Wilson, 54, plays "a pro golfer who has beaten Ferrell’s character for the tour championship twice before," while some of the other characters are described as an "all-around jerk," an influencer and "a new caddie and possible good-luck charm."
Ferrell is a longtime fan of the sport, previously telling Golf.com in 2012 that he started playing by "sneaking on the the golf course" when he was 12 or 13.
Ferrell and Shannon, 61, first starred together on Saturday Night Live in 1995 and went on to appear together in projects including 1998's A Night at the Roxbury, 1999's Superstar and 2006's Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

During the April 17 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Shannon recalled having "clicked right away" with her costar when she met him while working at a cappuccino place.
“I was like, ‘Can I take your order? It's so nice to meet you, Will.' And he said, ‘I will have a scone.' And so I brought him a scone and a latte," she said. “We've been friends ever since. Thirty years."
Shannon previously spoke with PEOPLE in January 2025 in honor of SNL's 50th anniversary. “We all did this because it's the greatest job in television,” Shannon said of the series that put her and Ferrell on the map. “Underneath it all is love.”
The Hawk premieres on Netflix July 16.
