Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) may still be off in Italy, but Nick (Joshua Morrow) still has plenty of loved ones in town who want to see him get better.
We saw on Friday's show Nick scoring a fix from his drug dealer. After closing the deal, Nick took some pills with some water so that he could feel better. But it's only a temporary cure. Nick is not doing himself any favors by lying to everyone and by continuing to take drugs.
A for Effort, A for Adam

Nick and Adam (Mark Grossman) didn't get along for years. The two men fought over Sharon (Sharon Case) and Adam's unethical ways. But Adam has been there for his brother during the whole Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) ordeal. Adam accompanied Nick to Las Vegas to help track down Matt and nearly lost his life in the process, as did Nick, Noah (Lucas Adams), and Sharon.

Nick doesn't want Adam to blame himself for Nick falling off the wagon in terms of his drug use. But Nick isn't quite ready to help himself either. He has put the rehab center on hold, and he's been lying to Adam about when he was going to check back in with the people who are supposed to be helping him.
Rock Bottom

Watch for those close to Nick, likely, Adam, and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), who was once romantically involved with Nick, and others, to force Nick to face his demons.
Will they succeed? Nick may have to hit rock bottom and strike out at everyone who cares about him before he realizes that he needs to man up and commit before he can reach sobriety.
We've seen Nick lie like a rug to keep everyone from thinking that he has a drug problem. If Nick realizes that no one is believing his lies anymore, he could lash out at those closest to him to push them away.
